Endoscopic Brow Lift

What is an Endoscopic Brow Lift?

The endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses a small camera—called an endoscope—inserted through several tiny incisions hidden behind the hairline. This allows Dr. Kieu to visualize and reposition the underlying brow and forehead tissues without making a long coronal incision.

The result is comprehensive forehead and brow rejuvenation with less scarring, less numbness, and faster healing compared to traditional open brow lift techniques.

What It Addresses

  • Moderate-to-significant descent of the entire brow

  • Deep horizontal forehead lines and creases

  • Glabellar furrowing and "11 lines" between the brows

  • An overall heavy or tired appearance to the upper face

  • Symmetry correction across the full brow

The Procedure

Through three to five small incisions (each less than a centimeter) placed just behind the hairline, Dr. Kieu introduces the endoscope and specialized instruments. She releases the tissues that tether the brow downward, elevates the forehead, and secures the lifted position using internal fixation techniques. The incisions are closed with sutures or clips and heal with minimal visible scarring.

The endoscopic approach is well-suited for patients with a normal-to-low hairline, as it does not raise or lower the hairline significantly.

Advantages of Endoscopic Technique

  • No long coronal incision across the scalp

  • Reduced risk of permanent scalp numbness

  • Smaller scars that are hidden within the hair

  • Comprehensive lift addressing the full forehead and brow

  • Addresses the corrugator muscles to smooth frown lines

  • Typically faster recovery compared to open techniques

Ideal Candidates

  • Patients with moderate-to-significant brow descent across the full brow

  • Those with deep forehead creases or prominent frown lines

  • Patients with a normal or low hairline (not those with very high foreheads)

  • Those who prefer a minimally invasive approach with less visible scarring

  • Good general health and realistic expectations

Dr. Kieu's Approach

The endoscopic brow lift requires advanced surgical skill and a thorough understanding of facial anatomy. Dr. Kieu's specialization in facial plastic surgery gives her precise knowledge of the nerves, muscles, and tissue planes of the forehead—ensuring that elevation is natural, symmetric, and lasting. She uses the endoscopic approach when it will provide the most comprehensive result for the patient's anatomy and goals.
