Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift—also called a forehead lift or browplasty—is a surgical procedure designed to minimize forehead lines and wrinkles, elevate the brows, reduce eyelid drooping, and restore a more refreshed, youthful appearance to the upper face.

Over time, gravity and the repeated motion of facial muscles cause the brow to descend. This can make patients appear tired, stern, or older than they feel. A brow lift directly addresses these concerns by repositioning the brow tissue to a more youthful position.

Choose Your Technique

Dr. Kieu offers three distinct brow lift techniques. During your consultation, she will evaluate your anatomy, degree of brow descent, skin laxity, and aesthetic goals to recommend the approach that will deliver the most natural-looking, long-lasting result for you.

LATERAL (TEMPLE) BROW LIFT

Targets the outer third of the brow for subtle, rejuvenating elevation with well-concealed incisions in the temple hairline.

ENDOSCOPIC BROW LIFT

Why Patients Choose a Brow Lift

Patients typically seek a brow lift to address:

  • Low or descending brows that create a tired or angry look

  • Deep horizontal forehead lines and furrows

  • Frown lines or "11 lines" between the brows

  • Excess upper eyelid skin that may actually originate from brow descent

  • Asymmetry between the two brows

  • An overall heaviness to the upper face

Ideal Candidates

You may be a good candidate for a brow lift if you:

  • Have brows that sit at or below the brow ridge

  • Notice forehead creasing or deep furrows that concern you

  • Feel the upper face looks tired or aged

  • Are in good general health

  • Have realistic expectations for the outcome

  • Do not smoke, or are willing to stop prior to surgery

Brow lifts are frequently combined with blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) or a facelift for comprehensive upper and mid-face rejuvenation.

Dr. Kieu's Approach

Dr. Kieu's philosophy is built around natural, harmonious results. Her goal is never to create a "surprised" or overly tight appearance, but rather to gently restore the brow to a position that reflects how her patient actually feels—rested, refreshed, and like themselves.

As a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Kieu brings a specialized understanding of forehead and periorbital anatomy that allows her to select the right technique and achieve precise, lasting outcomes. She takes the time to understand each patient's unique anatomy and aesthetic before recommending an approach.
