The Next Evolution Beyond PRP

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) and EZ Gel represent the newest generation of autologous biostimulation — treatments made entirely from your own blood that go beyond what PRP can achieve. They are sometimes called the "natural filler alternative" because they can restore subtle volume and improve skin quality without any synthetic product ever touching your face.

While PRP is spun at high speeds to isolate plasma quickly, PRF is processed at lower centrifuge speeds — a refinement that preserves a richer concentration of platelets, growth factors, fibrin, and stem cells. The result is a more potent, slower-releasing concentrate that continues to stimulate your skin's repair mechanisms for weeks after treatment.

PRF vs. EZ Gel vs. PRP

PRP

Liquid plasma concentrate. Fast-releasing growth factors. Excellent for scalp injections and microneedling. The first generation of blood-derived biostimulation.

PRF

Solid fibrin matrix with slow-release growth factors. Higher platelet and stem cell concentration than PRP. Ideal for under-eye, fine lines, and delicate areas where a gentle approach is preferred.

EZ Gel

PRF gently heated to form a soft, injectable gel. Acts as a natural, temporary filler substitute. Adds subtle volume and structure while simultaneously biostimulating. 100% synthetic-free.

What PRF and EZ Gel Can Treat

  • Under-eye hollows and dark circles — PRF is one of the safest treatments for the delicate tear trough area, with no risk of Tyndall effect (bluish discoloration sometimes seen with HA fillers)
  • Fine lines and skin crepiness — stimulates collagen and elastin for smoother, thicker skin
  • Overall facial volume loss — EZ Gel can provide subtle volumizing in cheeks, temples, and jawline
  • Skin texture and tone — improves dullness, uneven pigmentation, and pore size
  • Lip enhancement — EZ Gel provides a soft, natural lip augmentation alternative
  • Scalp and hair — PRF's slower release makes it an excellent option for hair restoration

PRF vs. Synthetic Fillers

EZ Gel (PRF)

  • 100% from your own blood
  • No allergy or foreign body risk
  • Gradual, natural-looking result
  • Biostimulates collagen over time
  • Temporary (3–6 months)
  • Ideal for subtle, natural enhancement

Hyaluronic Acid Filler

  • Synthetic (though biocompatible)
  • Immediate, more dramatic volume
  • Reversible with hyaluronidase
  • No active biostimulation
  • Lasts 9–18 months
  • Ideal for more pronounced correction
An ideal pairing: Many patients combine EZ Gel with traditional fillers — using EZ Gel for delicate or fine areas where a lighter touch is preferred, and HA filler where more structural correction is needed. Dr. Kieu will help you understand which approach (or combination) best fits your goals.

The Treatment Process

A small blood draw is taken from your arm and processed in a centrifuge on-site. The resulting PRF is either used directly as an injectable or gently warmed to create EZ Gel. Dr. Kieu then injects the material into targeted areas using fine needles or a cannula. Topical numbing is applied beforehand. The full appointment typically takes 45–60 minutes.

Mild swelling or bruising may occur for 1–2 days. Results emerge gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen production is stimulated, with continued improvement over 3–6 months.

Ideal Candidates

  • Patients who prefer completely natural, synthetic-free treatments
  • Those with sensitivity to or concerns about traditional fillers
  • Patients seeking subtle, gradual facial rejuvenation
  • Under-eye hollowing where traditional fillers carry risk
  • Anyone wanting to combine biostimulation with light volumizing in one treatment
